With its talented rosters and fearsome wolf logo, BOOM Esports is one of the most recognizable eSports organizations in the world. Since being founded, BOOM Esports has become most prominent in the Dota 2 scene. It also takes part in Valorant, PUBG Mobile, and League of Legends (LoL) events during each calendar year – and has so far experienced major success along the way.
However, in 2022, the BOOM Esports LoL roster officially left the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) and disbanded. Now, BOOM Esports has assembled a LoL Wild Rift roster instead.

BOOM Esports History: 2016 – Now
Gary Ongko Putera is the founder and CEO of BOOM Esports. He founded the organization in 2016 and hasn’t looked back since, taking BOOM Esports to a value of over $1 million.
Around the world, BOOM Esports has an incredibly loyal following – especially in South East Asia. The reason for this is that BOOM Esports is an Indonesian organization. In fact, they were one of the very first Indonesian organizations to become active, which has helped to break down some barriers and enough other eSports fans and creators from Indonesia to follow their dreams.
Some of the highlights so far for BOOM Esports include winning the ESL SEA Championship (2020) and the ESL Indonesia Championship in Season 1 and Season 2.
Since 2016, BOOM Esports has collected over $1 million in tournament money. Most recently, they won the GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai (2022) after beating Tundra Esports in the final. To continue following the group’s success, follow its Twitter and Instagram updates.
