What is Valorant?
Valorant is a free-to-play 5v5 tactical shooter video game developed and published by Riot Games. The game was released on June 2, 2020, for Microsoft Windows. It is similar to games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch.
In Valorant, players take on the role of “agents” who have unique abilities. There are currently 11 agents available, each with their own unique set of skills. Players must work together as a team in order to win rounds. The objective of each round is to either plant or defuse a spike, or eliminate all members of the opposing team.
Valorant has seen a surge in popularity since its release, and it is now one of the most popular games in the world. The game has been played by over 3 million people. It has quickly become a fixture on the global esports scene and all signs point to continued growth.
The VCT, or Valorant Champions Tour, is the official competitive circuit for the game of Valorant. The VCT is made up of two seasons, each consisting of multiple regional events leading up to a global tournament. The VCT Game Changers Championship is the first global tournament of the second season of the VCT.
VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship – Valorant
The VCT Game Changers Championship will feature 8 teams from all around the world, including some of the bestValorant teams in the world. These teams will be fighting for their share of the $500,000 prize pool, which is one of the largest prize pools in competitive Valorant history.
The VCT Game Changers Championship will take place from November 15-20 at the LEC Studio with thousands watching online all over the world.
Tournament format
The Game Changers Championship is the first global event of the VALORANT Game Changers series, bringing teams together from all gaming regions around the world.. Hundreds of teams have already competed in regional Game Changers competitions for a chance at appearing in the World Championship and a shot at prize money at prestige.
After all the competition around the world and all those teams, we’ve narrowed it down to eight teams that will compete in a double elimination, best-of-three bracket until the best-of-five Grand Final on November 20.
